"Vasudaiva(dhaika) Kuṭumbakam" – Who can utter ?
"Vasudaiva(dhaika) Kuṭumbakam" – Who can utter ?
It is to be remembered, this sacred verse is not for commercial and fancy use. It has become fashion in these days to use this verse (only) to colour their material effort and glorify themselves contrary to what they actually possess. It’s very unfortunate.
A person, who wants to say he/she believes in Vasudaiva Kutumbakam, must have a vision of holistic development and respect for all appearances of life and relations, acceptance of non-violence (in all kinds) and the truth by mind, body, thought, speech and actions in the light and dark as well. Clearly thus, any person who makes mockery at others in the family or in the society cannot afford to utter “Vasudaiva Kuṭumbakam”.
The sense and significance of “Vasudaiva Kuṭumbakam” is, whether a family member or the outsider, the entire world is a family and live noble.
Bhagawān Srikrishna, in recent times the Kanchi Paramāchārya and Sringeri Sri Chandra Sekhara Mahāswāmi have accepted every human (and living being from ant to elephant) by compassion irrespective of caste, religion and region. They felt others problem as their problem and led the distressed towards a righteous course. Their Holiness is beyond attachments and material possessions. They never travelled physically worldwide, but the entire globe has come to their feet. This is precisely why they are worshipped as Jagadgurus. When we learn and practice a nano decimal of their qualities, tough though, we can say we believe in Vasudaiva Kuṭumbakam !
Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya 🙏🏼
