Sri Tyāgarāja Swāmy Arādhana
Sathguru Sri Tyāgarāja Swāmy Arādhana
From the pen of Srirāmapāda Bhāgavathar
Thiruvaiyāru, January 17 (Sangeetopāsana): He is a glorious Purushottama. He is our very recent proof, just 178 years ago (perhaps our 2nd great grandparent’s time) that Bhagavān Srirāma had come in physical form, not in dream but in day light, to the great Saint’s house at Thiruvaiyāru in praise of his devotion. That is, His Holiness Sri Tyāgarāja Swāmi, a Telugu brāhmin and Composer. He had gifted us innumerable Keertanās in Telugu literature sung and worshipped by one and all the carnātic musicians across States and Nations worldwide. His 178th arādhana utsav is happening now globally.
This establishes that the Bhagavān is near us the moment we call him in any acceptable form as per the Veda-Sāstrās, with fine bhakti. Evidently Sri Mahāvishnu avatār of Tretāyuga period had now come in person recently several times showering his blessings🙌
In fact "endaro mahānubhāvulu" from Andhra Pradesh settled in Tamil Nādu being kept on the highest pedestal and respected by the world. Saint Tyāgarāja is one such divine soul🙏🏼
The oldest among the trinity of carnātic music Shyāma Sāstry, Sadāsiva Brahmendra, Nārāyana Teertha, Prācheena Bhajan Sampradāya Siddhānta Karthās Maruthānallur Sadguru Swāmigal, Sridhara Ayyāval were all born in telugu brāhmin families. Similarly, the Keertanās of telugu Vāggeyakārās namely Thāllapāka Annamāchārya, Bhadrāchala Rāmadāsu, Nārāyana teertha have primary place in the music of not just Tamil Nādu but everywhere. Their sacred melodies find place in millions of hearts even today irrespective of caste, creed, race, colour, religion or region, language, or state. In a nutshell, their divine compositions offer bhakti, happy living, livelihood and bhukti to thousands of musicians and music lovers worldwide. To listen to, learn, practice or rendering his compositions happen only with Poorva Janma Sukrutham🔔
My humble namaskāram to all the Vidwāns and Vidhushis on this very special Arādhana Utsav. One final say, for sure the Sangeetha sādhakās, patrons, propagators, supporters, sponsors and rasikās are close to the Lord Almighty🙏
